Economic Simulation??!!

I hope Superpower 3 has a much better economic engine. How can my trade Revenue collapse from positive 300 million to $0, while still having under 4% unemployment? Why is my private sector not growing when I have almost 0% taxes on trade?

I'll also start the game with everything government controlled and have a 200 million profit and then the production will collapse back down to have just enough to meet domestic demand, how did my exports/production change when I didn't do anything?
