I literally just passed Lance Stephenson an open 3 in the corner which he then shoots off the side of the backboard, after 2 players already did the same thing from midrange open shots. I also just passed Gary Neal an open layup, which he missed. How is my skill at all involved when the AI misses open shots? I don't know what difficulty you play at, I'm at HoF difficulty and the AI loses leads when I'm not in the game and when I'm in they don't make or take open shots. I'm playing right now and watched Al Jefferson miss an open layup a minute ago. It's just bad balancing. How you average 24 assists, I don't know. Maybe you're on lower difficulty.
Rebounding last year was actually easier for a guy who was 6'8 than a guy who was over 7 feet tall. I was a 6'10 PF and averaged about 19 rebounds in 2k14 on PS4, then played a 7'2 center and the jumping animation was broken for 7 footers so point guards would actually get rebounds over me for whatever reason. But at least boxing out was important.
This year there really is no boxing out, so the opposing team will get offensive rebounds easily over the AI PF and C on my team. Teams get 3rd and 4th chances over Al Jefferson. I actually get about 5 or 6 rebounds a game as a 6'2 PG with zero added points in rebounding, and it's really easy to do. There just isn't any boxing out anymore.
Im noticing the exact same issues. Players are 2 feet from the goal and they take the ugliest shots ever. Like every easy look i set up for my team becomes the ugliest shot in the game. Right now on the hawks i struggle to get my team to run with me on breaks, and cut to the basket. I call plays for someone to get open, and they just stand there no movement or slashing around the court. Ive been playing on HOF since the first game and im about to lower it to superstar or pro. I feel like HOF makes the game artificially harder by making your team suck balls.
80% of the wide open shots i set up for an assist is a miss! Why!? Its rare you see NBA players blow so many wide open shots. Ive found myself heaving the ball up court to a player on the break only for him to pass it back to me behind half court for the back court violation. This has happened so many times i dont even bother trying to push the fast break anymore.
Little stuff like horford bringing the ball down after catching it up high makes me want to break my controller. All he has to do is simply catch the ball and lay it up in the basket. He does this after rebounds, and catching a pass in the post.
I feel like the team is working against me, and not working with me. No one can create a good shot off the dribble, the lean on me for everything, if i dont feed them the ball with no defenders they just bug out and do something stupid.
Players will start to go through plays and leave their position too fast leading to turn overs and broken transitions.
HOF = CPU on the other team hits all their shots, creates off the dribble, while your team simply looks for you to score all the points. Im dropping 20+ points 8+ assists for 10+ games now. Only won 2 of them. Every loss is a 20+ blow out. With the best players on my team shooting below 40%.
Funny thing is when i sim games we always win. Why the hell cant we win when in out there busting my azz.
Dont even want to rant about the crazy glitches that let the already winning CPU get away with traveling, and all sorts of illegal actions on court.
