How to change Jersey Number in Mycareer?

I put 13 but damn Kings changed the number to 16...Help!

You cannot use 13, because Kings already have number 13 in team (Derrick Williams)

Go to the main menu and there is a submenu that allows you to edit your character and there is an option which jersey number you want
