Though I just started, I wonder if 10 points isn't maybe too much for inventory since dedicating those points means more stamina usage, and not being able to use 10 worth of points in another skill.. Just my thoughts, but 5 points would give a cap of 4 items (which is perfect for all the quick keys 0-10).
5 points would let new players dedicate a few points elsewhere as well, or have specialized team members (mule, tank, combat). And besides, anyone dedicating points to inventory is suffering greater stamina penalty as well as the increased risk of dying with more items and further out since they do less runs back to the ship.
Also... More than likely, anyone with extra inventory slots will want to carry more utility equipment anyway (especially once more equipment and threats become available). Just some shower thoughts, as maybe as is now will be the most ideal and fun. And I'm still new as I said, so I'm not sure if eventually all stats will get maxed anyway or if they reset from save to save
Regardless, I am super excited to try out these new changes! I think just these additions as is are great! Thank you for all the work you've put into this game!
I still don't feel like the former insurance mechanic is quite ready though, I think it needs a at least one more option to help the server host dial in their gameplay style of choice.
*Outright keep all items on death and on failure. (This completely disables ship resets)
*Keep items only on death not failure. (This functions like the current mechanic, no change)
*Keep nothing, (This functions like the old school mechanic)
