i mean reviews r a thing and if u r interested in a game i always make a point to watch a few yt vids about it b4 i decide to purchase. to make a discussion about this first thing is... well idk the last thing i would think to do.

that is true sadly these days reviews are terrible on steam tho because most are just jokes and nothing really describing the game
A quick skim through the store page should be enough to confirm that this isn't a 1:1 "clone," which would really be a knock-off, which is definitely something that happens. But if you only played games that were 100% original without any influence from any other games, you wouldn't get to play many games at all.

There are so many "clones" of Vampire Survivors, which itself is a "clone" of Magic Survival. Still plenty of fun to be had, even when the games stick very close to VS's formula. And when they deviate in significant ways, improvements on the original can be created. As much as I like VS, there are several I feel have improved upon it so much that they raised the bar it set. Though I'm not sure any have it beat for volume of content, all of which has maintained the base game's quality.

These "clones" are actually a good thing. It's a bit early to tell how this one will contribute, but being similar to another game doesn't discredit it out of the gate.

The game is really fun. It does have some similarities to Lethal Company yes as it was based off that game, but it has it's own amazing uniqueness to it too making them two very different plays. There are more quality of life options in this game that you wont find in LC as well as different worlds, how things work, interactions with monsters and how to progress through levels. The loot system is a bit more forgiving and there are more ways to obtain loot such as digging for buried treasure, shrinking mobs so you can take the corpses as well as being able to revive fallen friends using money you earn which makes the play time that much more fun. You also have the option to stay on a planet longer so you can keep going. The maps are immense so this is always a super fun option so you can look around and progress to different security levels. LC is more challenging imo and really fun to play and always will be. I'd honestly give them both a try if you ever have a chance.

Alright ill give it a go, its definitely visually different in its own unique way, sure it may play like another game but whats to say this cant perpetuate a new genre of game.

What unique thing does it offer? Well different visuals, different levels, weapons, leveling mechanics in a sense, feeling some form of progression within levels, entertaining cosmetics, a good sturdy foundation to build off of, more ideas implemented since its still in early access.

Definitely not a clone of LC. It is based off of LC and has practically the same goal as LC but the actual gameplay is much different. Best way ive found to describe it is actually saying its the opposite. LC is horror with a touch of adventure, SC is adventure with a touch of horror. Too many additional things that can be done and changes made from what LC has to call it a copy. Personally suggest trying it out for yourself, definitely worth the money! Honestly these are probably just the start of what will be a new genre of games from now on based on their popularity.

yeah youtube is your friend when it comes to these early access games, i can tell you ive had just as much fun on this game as LC so i got my moneys worth and the gameplay in this game is unique and different from LC , worst comes to worst if you dont like it refund the game before the 2 hrs are up on steam but i recommend peeping youtube videos first before buying i knew right away i wanted this game after a couple videos
While this game is very different i joking say this... how many times has ppl spent 80 dollars on the same call of duty game just retextured and reskinned :D. How many times have ppl bought a copy of skyrim and GTA 5 now for a lot more :P for the exact same games they are already playing.

This game is very different. As a kid a lot of games were "same" or "clones" of other games, Mario vs lost levels is the same game just different levels and a few new features.

These games are kinda trend starters, builds the foundation of a nice concept for other people to say hey, i wanna make that and add my own spin or ideas to it.

Thus this game yes you take a hit when you die but there is still some sense of progression :D.
