Pan not heating up if you mess up the order.

I placed the pan on the stove prior to turning it on. It started steaming but the temp stayed at 20C for minutes and I was wondering if the game was really that slow.

When I removed the pan from the heated stove and put it back on there it suddenly flew up.
It really shouldn't be an issue to place the pan on there before it's on.

Also I would love to be able to use keys to turn the stove on, because it's going to cause serious wrist strain to do everything with your mouse.
