The speed at which you perform a backflip depends a number of factors; the biggest being speed, body position, and chassis. Could you post a video of your backflips? I'm curious to see just how fast you're rotating.

Given that the tricks are mostly cosmetic in nature, unless this is an issue that plagues other users or breaks some other aspect of the game, it is unlikely to get fixed. However, if you can provide additional information and a video we will definitely look into it. And if the fix is relatively simple, we may very well address the problem.

its just that everytime i hit a ramp and do a backflip its at the same rotation speed everytime so when i hit big jumps it always does a double flip or more and i cant really do tricks in the flips and make it look good because of it, im not sure how to record either i can look into that

Performing a double backflip isn't uncommon for fully-modded 450s, especially if you've loaded your front suspension before leaving the face of the jump. Additionally, when you're in a backflip, you can reduce your rotation speed by letting off the throttle and leaning forward (Up on the Reflex stick).

Tapping on the brakes as well will help to stop your rotation.

Leaning forward is the best way to slow your backflip kurtis. after you initiate your backflip lean forward and you will slow down to the point of not even making the entire rotaion one time

yea its still doing it regardless of where my weight is or if i hit the brakes i cant slow his speed on the backflip unless i dont use the stunt modifier and then it doesnt count as a backflip

its basically like the vid someone posted where he did a quad backflip it flat

one other thing are you guys gonna add 360s and underflips or nah

Do u have rider reflex on the opposite stick as your steering as the normal setup? I wonder why it's not slowing your flip, are u sure your leaning forward and letting go of the gas?

Try angling your camera to the side of the bike so u can confirm the forward lean, which I'm sure u have... just sounds odd.

360's, I have actually pulled off a clean 360 on a finish line jump recently...but if your having issue with rider reflex I don't see how it's possible for u.

yea i just play on the normal setup i ended up getting some flips to stop but if i do any tricks in the flips they just spin too fast and dont stop and it doesnt look good
BadStar Nov 14, 2015 @ 4:34pm
Ok that makes since now.. when u are performing other tricks it keeps your rider from leaning forward..which if he did lean forward it would ruin his trick..

Do fmx guys do the same types of tricks while doing backflips? If not, then mva is realistic but of they do then I don't know.

I mean can u really do a nac nac backflip?

all the tricks i would do in game can be legit done so i feel like the game should let me do a KOD backflip without it being a double backflip cause thats not realistic

I have the exact same problem as kurtis426. Regardless of what I do( tried everything) the back flips rotate at one certain speed, can't slow down...
The speed of the flip should be set by how fast or far(Maybe both) you pull the right stick back......... Say over a 150ft jump (big up ramp) you would slowly pull the stick back on the upramp, leading in a nice big slow backflip etc..
Timing wise- pull too early or too late and it under rotates ,
If your timing is right- but pull too fast or too slow on the stick it will either over or under rotate. And the ability to slow bike down with brake or rider position..
Have played all games in the series so i liked ALIVES flips and 360 s
I definitely can't slow my flips down, the rotate at one speed....
Please confirm that this is not normal....! Cheers

Also I think the brake in the air should drop the nose a bit more if you stab it...! The brake can make a massive difference to pitch on a real Moto..

Also you should be able to do a turn down whip without landing off track or having to hit jump on massive angle in order not to land off the track- you can turndown going straight..!

I'm not meaning to be harsh I'm just hoping to help your game grow.
Haven't really done 360s in this game yet cause I can't land backflips..

All hat said I really enjoy your work so far...do you guys work with any real riders to get their thoughts?? Cheers

I find that strange that when u lean forward after u leave the jump it does not slow your rotation..Either you guys are experiencing a glitch or your controllers aren't calibrated to where u think your leaning forward? Hope it fixes for u all.

I landed a sweet 360 yesterday on sx finish. Honestly didn't mean too, but it was nice looking :)

I ride in real life but I don't do backflips and I also don't study riders who do..so I have a question

Does a real backflip require different amount of initiation depending on the size of the jump? Bigger the jump, are u able to slowly start your backflip?

To me that seems wrong, it seems that in real life no matter the size of jump, you would want to initiate the backflip with force then slow your rotation..?

This is me not knowing anything about backflips, just curious..u know?
