Why is everyone so much faster than me online?
Hey guys,

Why is it everyone I race online so much faster than me like 30 seconds faster? I have no problem winning races against the AI on All Time, but online is a different story.

Are people hacking or is there some kind of super parts you unlock in Career Mode or what?

I recommend you memorize the tracks, it will give a little more advantage ... use the help to go further in the jumps!

the AI is quite ♥♥♥♥, the key to be fast is to find steady lines that you never miss, dont HAVE to be the faster line, but one you hit 99,9 out of 100 times. Its misstakes and not beeing able to recover fast what can slow you down.

There is the old beta physics file floating around...You can double preload with it...It also has the super clutch..

If that's true, this certainly needs patched / fixed. Everyone should be forced to use the same files in order to participate online.

This is not why they are faster though. (obviously 1 reason but i and many others dont cheat)

Once you "get it", you will get much much faster. I was once 30sec - 1min behind not long ago and then immediatly am hanging near pole position after "understanding" how to be fast.

-Most dont realize "leaning back" and learning how to do this correctly will accelerate the bike much faster and it will remove the "sliding" on turns. (sliding = lose of traction = lose of time)

-Most don't realize what the "big lines" are.. learn to get speed/use preload/proper lines and you will clear large sections.

-Most don't realize using "Manual" transmission is faster but you have to master the art of clutching your way back to speed.. I launch in 1st then stay in 5th gear the entire race.

-Also Clswe has a very important point. be consistant and dont wreck.

-Chupachug has the best advice- go as fast as possible and hit the jumps as hard as you can and "see" what is possible.. and you will find new lines and sections that you didnt know exists (moddified qoute by me but same thing).. then learn to ride those big lines with consistancy

-please dont worry about keeping up with online folk until u have a fully modded bike and some hours in the game..

and please never use the "old beta physics file waste of time" what is fun in that? i'd rather be 30sec behind

Thanks for your suggestions guys! I've switched to the manual gearbox and now I have no problem keeping up with the leader.
