Game doesn't start
Windows 10. Just can't get the game to start.

CPU hits like 30% on it but ram is like 0.9MB it's like it's not even loading into memory.

I tried setting it to compatibility mode to Windows 7, XP even 98 but nothing.

Any ideas?

Steam purchase btw. Bought it today.

"Remove wsock32.dll and winmm.dll from the game's folder." I found this in the comments, I hope it works, I want buy the game.

And it works.. thanks guys

Only needed to remove winmm.dll no need to remove sock32.dll

IMPORTANT NOTE: Starting from steam leads to CARMA2_HW.EXE not responding.

Just open local files and hit carma2.exe

If you still have issues, go to its properties and make it xp compatibility

Follow up

Ok so the game runs but no sounds and sometimes it exists with end task :(

Deleted both winmm.dll and sock32.dll

Also compatibilty is set to windows XP.

Also alt tab doesn't exit from the game which is wierd.

Don't run carma2.exe, this is why you have no sound. Run Carma2_HW.exe directly. The game rarely exits properly, I just ALT+F4 out of it when I'm done.

The game should run fine once launched from Steam though, maybe try to insall the game to another Steam folder?

Running carma2_HW.exe fixed the problem thanks

But running from steam still causes a not responding crash on starting but it's not a big deal.

I just hope I will get the achievements and such

Thanks man

I wonder if Stainless has looked into trying to fix this. Being unable to play the game through Steam and not having the ingame music is rather lame.
It runs perfectly fine in windows 7 here. The ultimate solution should be to just remove the spyware, adware, and keylogging that is built in to windows 10 by installing windows 7 instead. At least Carma2 will work properly.
