To add the ability to globally configure settings applicable to all planets, so that if there are specific pops on a planet, then they are distributed to a given sphere of activity and the same settings were, but for a single planet. Otherwise, with "automatic distribution of pops" there is a complete mess.
"Purity Oligarchy, or “Eugenic Hierarchy”:
Absolute power must be entrusted to the genetically ordained elite, the purest and most capable stewards of this civilization's destiny. Beneath them, each citizen fulfills a predefined role, meticulously tailored to their inherited genetic potential. Contentment flows not from ambition, but from accepting one's designated purpose."
Will we be able to decide where and what our pops work as or not, because the current system has pops which are specialized in mining - working as researchers and pops specialized as researchers working as miners. I know you were like, huh our system doesn't actually work and introduced that trait which changes over time according to job worked - but that's not good enough (and seriously 3 trait points for that........)
If there is not a system in place that allows a player to restrict pops to certain jobs, Species Modification will continue to be utterly pointless as the entire point is lost with the current system. Thus making Biogenesis entirely pointless too (there's a reason why Bio ascension is still the worst ascension of them all).
I love the path the ascension traits have taken. Will psionics get a similar glow up with the whole "three separate development paths" thing? I can imagine the three Psionic paths being something like Control (for mind control Authoritarian empires)/Tranquility (for enlightened Spiritual empires)/Corruption (for Chaos cultists) or something.
