Weird thing happened right after I colonized the first planet. The surface tab is alternating between a normal page and an empty page with the development district being 0/0 and available housing becoming negative. Specifically, the page turns back to normal on 1st day of one month and goes weird on the 1st day of next month, then back to normal next month... If you manage to build something when the tab is normal, it will disappear next month. After a few years the colony was automatically abandoned. I think this should be very easy to fix, and Im really looking forward to the next 3.99.5 fix to actually make the game playable without major issues!

Game is basically unplayable right now unless you are going to play 200-300 years with a single home world in a tiny universe. Well, I guess that's a play style, but not for me!

Edit:

The second colony stabilized after it completed some construction. I'm thinking the planets aren't creating their initial city district, but if you turn on the automation, the automation will create the city district and, once it is built, the colony becomes usable.
The method is working, but sometimes automation doesn't start building immediately so in that case you need to wait. Sometimes the automation will build something else other than a city district at first, and you need to cancel that build (to save resource and time I guess) in hope that automation will build city district next. Do NOT build other types of district or you are cooked because that other district will occupy the place for city district and you will never be able to build city district ever again on that planet. Interestingly, some AI empires will do this, building generator or mineral district on the city district, and then they are cooked and they will never progress/develope and struggles with economy and rebellion.

Plus, the army landing is still not working so you don't have an effective way to end war until mid-late game. The AI empires are not very likely to surrender just due to orbital bombardment. I guess we can use `yesmen` LOL.

Yep, same issue. I colonized my first planet and it somehow ended up with 2 mining zones.
Back to the drawing board, PDX.

I dunno! The fact they wanna do a total overhaul of a core system to change it completely and not seem to have that system nearly bug free while trying to sell MORE pre order dlcs is very bad. This clearly means the devs want to make the game updated, fresh, and new while the CEOs at paradox are pushing capitalism when its clearly not in a state to even be released to the public.

This is a VERY bad sign. IMHO if you wanted to do something this major you need to give it close to a year of attention (IN BETAS) and NOT push DLCs. Maybe 1 big one at the end of 2024 or early 2025. Every expansion needs updated, QOL features, ect. At this point just make Steallaris 2.

I really hope this is the last year of life for this game because its just insanity at this point. But hey, paradox. Ya know?

I am not a fan of the dlc policy paradox do, but this is a beta after all for us to test. Just be quiet

I am experiencing the same thing, but have found that it tends to happen on the latest colony formed. Once I colonized a second planet, the first planet I colonized stopped flipping back and forth.

Edit: The second colony stabilized after it completed some construction. I'm thinking the planets aren't creating their initial city district, but if you turn on the automation, the automation will create the city district and, once it is built, the colony becomes usable.

i am having the same issue, never been able to get the mid-game since the release of the beta due to one bug or another and the surveys keeps asking about new features such as data banks and empire focus but cant really comment on them coz im not playing the game long enough to interact with them before some bug makes me close the game but so far i don't really care for the new features like empire focus and data-banks there gonna be things ill mostly ignore, not a big fan of zones either but i understand this may be a necessary evil so to speak

Absolute legend. The temporary fix worked here.

Same - in addition, I still can't land armies (haven't been able in any of the betas). Means I can't play it at all.

Yup - each beta in the .99 section has had this issue. I basically have to bombard them into surrendering, which they don't tend to like to do with me.

Nice to see the fixes. I have one question is there any place where we could see the growthrate of a population? Or the migration proggress?

So what actually appears to be happening is that planetary colonies are trying to use the Ring World City Segments instead of normal planetary City Districts. As these Segments are incompatible with Planets, they deconstruct themselves periodically just to get automatically rebuilt again.
