What? you know this is a "build your space empire" game, no? What do you mean with more representation, how would you implement that, its like if you ask me to add first person shooter to a 2d game,

If you mean more diversity, the game its literally build around that, from space nazis, communist and anarchocapitalist to clone empires with only one sex, species without genders, furries and gestal consciences, you have the biggest buffet to choose from probably any other game in existance with the most different ideologies and species to build around your empire.

I just hope they are not going force me to use organic ships just because I went the genetics route. I just want to give my people better lives through genetic engineering. Doesn't mean I want to live in a giant Lobsters Butt.

What I recommend is giving Genetic Ascension two paths, organic technology and perfected bio-synthetetic materials. Boiled down, the former is growing living technology and vessels, the latter is mastering biologically synthesized meta-materials, like types of biologically created super alloys and bio-plastics that mimic regular technology. For the latter we could keep the regular metal-based ship styles for those who don't want to fly around inside bugs.

They already do, though. I literally just made an empire that turns human men into human women, using the necrophage origin and two of the three different human portraits that I gender-locked for the theme.

In a different playthrough, my (female, human) envoy was caught in a secret relationship with another empire's (female, human) envoy. We decided that was okay, because we were xenophiles. Also, mine had blue hair, because the cybernetic human portraits can just do that.

None of this was with mods. It's in the base game.

You, however, are going around posting these messages not to encourage representation, but to spin the false narrative that LGBT folks are trying to intrude on everything and change it away from the rest of us.

For everyone else reading this: yes, people actually do that. There are entire "genres" on tiktok where people dress up pretending to be queer, make stuff up to act like it's a hostile and invasive "ideology," and then share it to conservative feeds where the real queers flat-out aren't allowed to go. This creates a disinformation bubble where these people recreate and repost the same lies, thinking that what they saw was really true and that they're making fun of it, and end up creating a whole imagined specter of a threat that doesn't exist in reality.

And then they go around pretending to 'support' LGBT+ rights, but in such a way that it feels forceful and intrusive to other people who have never interacted with a queer person in real life before.

Like... I'm just normal, dudes. I like seeing characters like myself, but I'd rather it be done well than done as an obligation. I don't go into every theater expecting to see a lesbian relationship any more than I go into every movie expecting the villain to be a genocidal maniac with a relatable past.

The world is filled with so many different people, who all have so many different experiences. Nobody real is going around trying to change your experiences; the real people who actually exist are just asking devs to make a game or two for them, too.

I like how it doesn't mention they are using ai generated assets. If you go to the actual page for the new content and the portraits it says they use generative AI for some of the assets.

pretty sure its used to "animate" the portraits from still images.
