Love the updated bonuses to telepaths and spiritualists. Adds more viability and variance to multiple playstyles, something this game very much needs. I hope you guys can, someday, look to each ascension path and add some more love to each of them. Still, trascendence, is a very hit-or-miss path compared to the others, due to lacking rng. I wish psionics had a way to assert more dominance over the shroud (without going all-out aetherophasic engine, ofc), increasing bonuses and how often those may appear. Perhaps more permanent bonuses? Aside from that, I hope planetary ascension tiers have been given a little love since the feedback rolled in. Anyways, love the update as a whole and I hope to see more changes to shake up the current meta! :)

Games only get better when the devs actually play their own games. Good to see it happening here.

I needed a good laugh. Thanks!

I mean dev clash is good and all, but can anyone please tell me if there is any info on the release date of the update (more precise than "February 2022") or not?

I wish there were update for lowering micro managing the game. Like auto constructor. Showing planets at first place if there is something to build, unemployed people, homeless.

End game would be more fun to do war's instead of building and managing planets.

well if you would add some improvement to the planet interface, namely it would be nice if the game illuminates the city districts holding space for the building, both built and non-built districts, the game could show, for example, a bright frame around a square representing the districts. Such an option would be useful because, in the early and late stages of the game, these districts often provide a lot of housing for the current population and are built only to unlock buildings, so when the player wants to modernize the planet by getting rid of excess city districts, he must either demolish them until he destroys a building or count the planet and empire bonuses, both options consume time and the first one will consume additional resources for reconstruction. Additionally, you should restore the old communiqué that once warned against resettlement of populations holding spaces with an active building from the planet, now this message could appear when a player wants to remove districts holding space for a building with a constructed structure.

I second this. I would really love to know how many building slots over the cap I am to better priorities districts.

The Dev Clashes are really worth watching on Twitch; even if you have absolutely no interest in the game, or gaming (which would be strange to be reading a Stellaris dev diary, and to be on Steam altogether, then...really), just for the comic relief alone. The Trappistines are absolutely brilliant for their RP. They came to the event as more than game developers, it is a full theatrical production, really. I admire their efforts. Heavy Metal, Inc. is another fantastic effort, and they RP'd the Groupie thing fantastically. As for improvements *shrug* I mean, they listed off what they're doing in the changelogs, February is the shortest month we've got - do you really want a fixed release date and either be disappointed when they delay as like what happened with Royal Court for CK, or have them rush something and then just whinge and complain about bugs this and that later on? the Custodian effort is about making the quality of the game improved from previous shall we say...roughshod treatment...so better to wait two weeks without announcement, say, and get the surprise download, than get firm or rushed releases and have to get hotfixes upon hotfixes. We don't want to see what happens to EUIV where they have a game with some of the worst rated content in the entire Steam Store.

So instead of making planetary ascensions viable by reworking the planetary designations they simply reduce the sprawl. Nice! Now I can literally feel the immense desire to play a unity based empire. No science rushes no more, no, no, no. Unity can definitely compete with science now. F... unbelievable how stupid these changes are.
