Seriously, that could be designed a bit better.
It would be nice if you could expand it without limit, albeit at a rather high investment cost for each new unit of capacity- but somehow I doubt this is the case. When considering buffs from occupied Vivarium Capacity, the question arises: just how large can these buffs actually grow with sufficient invested time, effort, and resources?
I get that you're frustrated with the AI and other parts of the game—big games like Stellaris are bound to have bugs that bother some players. Personally, I haven’t had many issues, and adjusting the difficulty works well for me. But I understand others may feel differently.
Could you share some specific examples of where the AI is falling short for you? That could help get a clearer idea of the problem and maybe even lead to solutions :)
As for the DLC, I see it as a way for developers to offer new content to different kinds of players. What feels like 'bloat' to one person might be exciting for someone else, and it keeps the game fresh. It seems likely to me that the DLC money is being used to keep the game alive and subsidise ongoing fixes.
I am seeing the game evolve and I like it. Owning Stellaris gives you the right to install not just one version of the game but its entire history. The older versions are less interesting and actually more broken. Isn't a balance of new content and bug fixes a good thing for the game and community?
What's a space helmint?
You can avoid both the new space fauna types even with the DLC by putting their sliders to zero on game creation, it seems.
Yum!
What flavor?
