Wow, thanks devs! Let me return the favor and give YOU 10 tips!
1. Fix Overlord so I can buy it.
2. Fix the problems that came with overlord, so I can play again.
3. Stop censoring people on your platforms who are expressing discontent
4. Stop ignoring those people expressing discontent
5. Stop listening to those who slavishly praise you
6. Start listening to those who actually love the game and spend tens of thousands of hours on it
7. Stop releasing things without play testing them
8. Stop using the playerbase as free testers every single time you're too lazy to test a product
9. Stop charging money for things you are rushing out and forcing the player base to test play and only resume charging money when it WORKS and has NO BUGS
10. Fire the fascist scumbag loser moderators on your paradox website because they are INSANE authoritarian fascists who just abuse their ability to arbitrarily silence voices they disagree with. Seriously. This whole "moderator" idea needs to die already. Individuals can mute other individuals, stop silencing people from being heard by new people. You're SUFFOCATING THE MARKETPLACE OF IDEAS.

Hope those tips are as helpful for you as your tips were for me! Have a great day, paradox and fellow steam brown shirt censorship stasi!
There's no such thing as "no bugs" in a product.
also the reason for the bugs is one of the devs tried patching some bugs but accidentally ♥♥♥♥♥♥ some things up
"Let us know your #1 expert tip!"
Comments devolve into arguing in just a few hours
That's Paradox fans for you :cozybethesda:
#1 expert tip: more alloys is never a bad thing. alloys are absolutely worth it.

You guys will keep the price of the DLCs here in Brazil for 47.99 BRL each? Do you think anyone can afford to pay 500 BRL for the full game? Why haven't they increased the price of the game and DLCs for USD, EUR and GBP currencies?

Don't increase the USD/EUR/GBP prices.
Decrease the BRL ones.
Less people should suffer from ♥♥♥♥ prices, not more
fix Overlord, you twerps.
how can y'all keep charging ridiculous sum of money for expansions that take weeks to fix?

I find it funny that the advanced tips are often terrible tips lol.
Okay dont get me wrong... its nice to have this though... should the ingame tuttorial not teach you these things >_> Up youre game and make the ingame tuttorial propperly instead of relying on outside sources. We players already know where and how to get more and beter information from outside the game, not much sense into making your own while there is a perfect tool ingame todo so.

Maybe make the ingame tuttorial on a small map with like 3 races and max 300 years orso and guide the player trough it. Not only explain what they are looking at but importantly how they can use it propperly and why it is used for. Then maybe ad a senario run for the more indepth explainations for the mechanics and tatics that may be used. Or use links to youtube ingame in the popups so players can click and be directed to an torough explainatory clip.
Was curious what the tips might be, but then saw that the post was literally just video links. Instantly lost interest.

#1 expert tip: once you have the basics down, RP can be very fun. Don't get too hung up on metas and playing as efficiently as possible. Make a species you can enjoy playing that seems intriguing/relatable/etc. Unless powerplaying is your thing, you do you.

#1 expert tip: once you have the basics down, RP can be very cringe. Don't get too hung up on RP and playing as bad as possible. Make a species you can enjoy playing that seems meta/efficient/etc. Unless being cringe is your thing, you do you.

For those who don't want to watch the videos.

Top 10 Beginner Tips:
1. Play whatever empire looks fun (recommended UNE)
2. Pause when you need to (SPACE)
  • Use this time to assign your tech, order around your construction and science ships and look over your policies
3. Slow things down or speed them up
  • Depending on how much you are used to the game
  • Slow things down during combat to watch those epic space battles.
4. Assign your techs once they are researched and if the leaders dies replace them or look out for one with a special trait.
5. Survey surrounding systems (Go to the map using "M")
  • Holding SHIFT while assigning orders allows you to queue up more than one order.
6. Build multiple Science ships
  • You can build more of them at your Starbase with a shipyard built.
  • Recruit a new Scientist without him you can't survey systems.
7. Once a system has been surveyed. Expand your empire using the construction ship.
  • Fully surveyed system have a white font instead of a grey one.
  • Keep an eye out for chokepoints.
8. Build mining and research station in your controlled systems. (Using the Construction ship)
  • Building these stations requires 100 minerals each.
9. Maintain planets
  • Build districts and buildings.
  • Specialize your planets, depending on their strengths.
  • Press "K" and check if there are any blockers to clear. This increases your max districts.
  • Build city district to get more building slots
  • Buildings have upkeep costs. Make sure your economy can sustain them.
  • Prioritize jobs, wait for your pops to grow or destroy districts to meet the job demand.
  • Keep an eye on planetary stability (affected by habitability, crime, amenities, housing and happiness)
10. Colonize planets
  • Look for green planets on the galaxy map.
  • Build a colony ship to colonize planets. Either using the shipyard or using the "Colonize" button in the planet window.
11. Read tooltips
  • They are useful.

Top 10 Intermediate Tips:
1. Build your custom empire
  • For min-maxers look up the meta build.
  • Which ethos you pick influences your gameplay and available civics.
2. Customize your ships (Using the Ship Designer)
  • Each weapon has its pros and cons.
  • With enough espionage you can see your opponents ship designs. (You guys use that right?)
3. Every system is unique
  • Some systems have effects on your ships.
  • Pulsars nullify your shields.
  • Nebula blocks sensors.
4. Micromanage
  • De/Priorize jobs.
5. Look at the Planet features
  • Some allow you to mine strategic resources (motes, gasses, crystals).
  • Remove blockers.
6. Use the Market
  • Buy resources you need.
  • Set up monthly trades.
  • Prices fluctuate(uses your internal market)
  • If you own the Megacorp DLC. You can compete to host the galactic market. Once it's set up the galaxy becomes one market.
7. Understand your enemy
  • Build spy network. Actually remember that spy missions exists and use them.
8. Meet the neighbours
  • Empires with the same ethics like you more. Empires with different ethics like you less.
  • You can see Empires ethics in the diplomacy screen.
8,5. Check list for your future rival
  • Close borders.
  • Strenghten your defensive positions.
  • Focus on your alloy and ship production.
  • Adjust your policies.
  • Change your policy to Militarized economy.
9. Make war, not peace
  • Claim systems. They cost more during war and the further they are from your borders.
  • Conquer all enemy planets to remove them from the game.
  • Only systems, which you have claimed will remain in your control after the war has ended.
  • Each war goal has different rules. Make sure to understand them
10. You can win a game of Stellaris.
  • Uses the Endgame year option in the game creation screen.
  • Look at the least used tab. The Victory tab found in your situation log window
  • Goal is to become the strongest empire.
  • Use ironman mode to gain achievement. He also says not to use any mods, which is false.
You can use graphical mods to your liking. Just make sure to read the mod description.

i dont know how helpfull to new players your so called expert tips are, but for me they were absolutely useless. "Customizie your empire and ships" - what sort of expert trick should this be? I do remember that "building your own ships" was one of the key features of Version 1. So why do you recommend a well known feature as an expert tip? Makes no sense to me.

Some guy has a theory and without any testing, proof, or scientific method you are now spreading a fun hypothesis as some sort of established scientific law. You are fake news. Please stop. Thanks.

P.S. Educate yourself on how to educate yourself before you put anymore faith in your ability to self-educate. maybe develop some critical thinking skills and learn how to identify fallacies. Maybe educate yourself on what the scientific method is and how it works. Cool beans. Good talk.

Edit: This is literally "History and Philosophy of Science 101 & 102" so to quote philosophers of science is just... What the HECK has happened to academic rigour??
dude chille the ♥♥♥♥ out
nah he aight
