I want to see how this plays before I issue a verdict, but I am always wary of these sorts of changes.

Leaders now cost too much unity to hire and upkeep. I have to wait for more than a year to hire a scientist and start to explore. and after I hire a scientist, I have to wait for more time to hire another one. Why can't a country that have just entered the universe show their interests to the universe? You know what? My solution is to let all the scientists to explore and no scientist in researching. It's the ridiculous cost of unity that makes me do this.

Over here it seems most people are like: "OMG! I can't blob as fast anymore! Damn. ♥♥♥♥ game! I'm out of here!"

I'd suggest taking part in the open beta and giving honest feedback (with improvement suggestions not just "OMG BRING BACK ADMIN CAP INCREASE!") as to what feels off and why.

As I understood it there won't be any way to increase admin cap but there will be ways to mitigate the impact of sprawl or the impact of planets/pops on sprawl in the first place. Also it makes sense that a large empire is going to be spending a lot more on general infrastructure costs (which is essentially what high sprawl means) no amount of bureaucrats are going to change that simple fact.
Paradox forms are a smaller community of like minded individuals that generally praise Paradox on nearly anything they do. They also generally have much tighter control of who is there or not.

Steam's community I'd gather is a lot larger, a lot more diverse, and a lot more critical of changes, letting you see all four corners of the compass of what people think.

Hi, custodian team, could you focus on making the game

a) LESS obscure while giving the players

b) more options to play the game the way they want?

It's not easy, I guess, but some of the stuff introduced with this patch looks nearly more like a job creation scheme for the custodian team instead of solving a) and b).

Because the things being changed are not things that actually needed fixing, lol. They arent' the reason the game was "unfun". There were huge issues with AI and late-game lag, but instead of fixing things that make the game a chore to play, they're doing "balance" changes that solely affect competitive multiplayer. It's going to screw up the AI, screw up balance in ways that will be completely unforeseen, and kill tall empires that still get empire sprawl but without expanding outwards (Megacorps).

The forums are also full of a bunch of people who only think there's one way to play. I know, I'm a part of them.

Every modifier and system added to the game to nerf the new META has piled up into a mess of code that runs as well as I do (and I'm an asthmatic with a limp). And then to improve the performance you add more modifiers that cap the players ability to build anything like when you went all Thanos and divided pops by 10 and forgot to divide the required pops for jobs making playing the game impossible due to 90% of jobs going unfilled. Stop reworking the mechanics of the game and focus solely on cleaning up the pile of code that's accumulated over the last 20 DLCs, Stop pushing people to play the game you want it to be played by nerfing tall one week and wide the next. Either this game is a lost cause and you should start from scratch or you can work on cleaning it up so that it is playable, but wasting time on removing and replacing mechanics is pointless because whatever you add or change will only be removed or reworked this time next year.
This, so much this. There's so much feature bloat before we even talk about the upcoming update. Please, for the love of all that is holy, focus on fixing all the slowdowns that make mid to late game a slog.

Two suggestions:
1. The value of happiness will affect the output of pops. Such as, when it is red, it reduces the output of jobs, when it is yellow, it has no effect, and when it is green, it increases the output of jobs. Ideas come from real-life situations. (Intentional slack at work and positive contribution)
2. Perhaps Capital Buildings of different levels can directly provide Administrative Capacity, which would be better than removed all means of increasing Administrative Capacity. I think this is suitable for empires with large colonies and varying numbers of populations on the colonies.

So they're renaming administrators to politicians, and then making a related building called the administrative center??

so they only took our brains to get our jobs?

Innocent planet should be exterminated just because religious parasites make her being their holy stronghold. Sad a bit but I take it... By the way where my death star?

Less materialism for the technocracy is good though.
