Are you realy just now considering that a crappy hotel wifi connection may be an issue when playing a MP game with regards to disconnecting/desyncs?????????

Tiny subset maybe, however any desync is still bad and is honestly ruining my MP experiance. Now if anyone has any useful advice to stop it
they can find the issue and fix it, or tell you how to get around it.

me is always the 01 day of 01 month of whatever year ie 2290_01_01, the same will be for every autosave date.

I discovered that if you have saved with a MANUAL SAVE, and you are having this DESYNC

currently. It is fun with multiplayer but good god is that unreliable and buggy currently. I recently finished a long-running MP game with some friends and it would desync at least twice per session
, requiring a re-host after each desync.

Ya it has both auto saving and manual saving. I think
the max is like 32 players/AI, but the more players you have the more likely the game is to crash or desync. The most i've ever played with was like 5 or so people and they were all people on my friends

Its a bug. This also happens with psionic ascension occasionally but 9/10 its synthetic evolution. I've also noticed when someone becomes cyborg or psionic in MP it has a tendency to desync the game

I thought console was disabled for mp and using trainers or cheat engine causes a desync.

I didnt have hellalot of time lately, but those mp-matches i have played, have been way more stable than before.

Even 1000 star-maps seem to run smoothly now, as long as the host has good connection
, good hardware, and no hardcore-laggers are allowed.

In an other game, we decided to keep a player, lighting up red from the beginning - we had a desync after 20 years ingame...
