What's with the panning stutter in this game... anyone having this?

Panning stutter right from the biggining of the game in default start settings. And i thought my new pc setup would not have issues with this game...

This has been a problem for ages, almost eternity.Lag and stutter in this game was reported, but never fixed. It is after all more important to suck more money frpm the playerbase and increase lag and stutter, than to fix it.This game has NEVER been optimized so lag and stutter is everywhere. After all it is a Paradox title.

i bought a new high end pc and the performance is the exact same has my potato pc... this is really pissing me of cause i just bought the last dlc's and i know further on it's gonna make me quit the game. I just started a new game ffs and getting crap performance and for the price they ask for the complete experience/content is making me even more pissed off.

after investigating a bit i'm finding out that the stutter happens on every passing day. so the faster i put the simspeed the chopier it gets. even on the slowest speed a one day pass causes a noticable stutter.

i7-14700KF / RTX 4070Ti / Full HD 60hz monitor/ 32Gb ram ddr4/ SSD 1T. System is brand new with everything freshly installed. Tried everything possible and can't get rid of this anoying stutter or make sense of it.

13700k, 32gigs ram, 4090, gen5 nvmes, game runs fine until very end game. But I only have the basic, 'must haves,' DLCs like Utopia.

The performance on your new pc is the same as on the old because the hardware was always at best secondary, its the engine behind it thats the problem. Its dreadfully outdated and not optimized for new machines anyways. It simply cant utilize your new pcs potential anways.

Nope, no stuttering only when I freeze the day and stop AI from building anything. Then the lag starts later. Also if you use a trainer or cheat lag will happen.

Also, a note sounds silly but this game is on paper just an EXCEL simulator and nothing more. On top of visual effects that have a 10% impact on your PC overall. So in short it calculates and does that (with a lot of RAM). Your problem *to many core and second problem Chipset problem. (clean up the chipset drivers) and Lower the multiplay core using the recommended use of 4 and not more also 3.5ghz clock is too slow. Overclock it to 4ghz at least per core and not turbo it. Your KF is not for 99% utilization all the time. This means your CPU is bottlenecking the calculation of this game and the data flow is halted every few seconds.

Intel® iCore™ i5-3570K is the recommended. care to explain why a i5 4690k has the exact same performance issue with the day ticks. i'm all ears.

the "fix" for panning stutter is to run the game on borderless window. Also do set a FPS cap, like 60 or 120, so the game won't hog up all the resources.

i'm actualy playing on borderless window and the fps capt at 60. it's what the defalut settings were when i fist booted the game.

seems to be cause i've seen a lot of diferent settups of various ages with this issue and the only thing i see in comments are people babling wisdom and no actual real fix.. also this stutter apeared after an update a few years ago and never went away.

Your problem sounds different from the endgame lag that most people are talking about when it comes to lag.

Lower all of your graphics settings to minimal and/or reduce resolution and try again. If it is still stuttering, then it is not graphics. If it no longer stutters or stutters less, then it could be graphics, but it could also be CPU related. Note that this game is not exactly graphics intensive.

Pause your game and pan again. If it is not stuttering while paused, then it could be something related to your RAM/CPU--not necessarily that the CPU itself is lacking, but could be something consuming all of your resources.

Reboot your computer and close out all unnecessary applications (especially any browsers) and then launch the game again. If the stuttering [almost] completely goes away, then that confirms the CPU theory.

Of course, the copout answer is that it could just be your drivers. Clean reinstall them and the game.

I do not have this problem with this game.

Game is still only using 1 1/2 CPU Cores for me. Everybody I know has these problems and the lags and stutters around the end game, unless the map is tiny. So many years of development yet so little performance optimization. Main thing seems to be pushing content DLCs... It literally makes it unplayable.

Saw new dlc release in steam, came to see who is saying what in this forum, first page someone complaining about the infuriating lag > hard pass gonna forget about this game until the next dlc.
