Content missing?

So 3 weird things happen in my game.
1. Some tech is completely missing. I do a special project, (xyan labs or somthing) and the tech i unlock is just "?", and sometimes my game just crashes, ruining that file forever.
2. I can't talk to the curator order. Once first contact is over I can no longer contact them whatsoever.
3. I can't get achievements because "checksum is modified", and I have NO idea what it's talking about, i have no mods installed.

I have tried verifying integrity, and reinstalling. nothing is working. What is happening.

If any of the files in [your path]\steamapps\common\Stellaris\common have been modified (or perhaps corrupted) you will get a checksum error. Many mods also modify the checksum. If the game believes your checksum is modified, you will be ineligible for achievements, which is the only real penalty associated with it.

Another user was complaining about the Curators behaving in the way you're describing a few nights ago.

The Xvan Labs used to add the next tier of your +20% engineering output tech.

These techs were removed in the "tech update". Welcome to the new Stellaris.

Verify the files from rclick -> properties.

he said he tried verifying. It might work better to uninstall, go into the steam foldrs and make sure everything is deleted, then reinstall

This looks like it worked. At the very least the checksum thing is gone.
