But the Kraken is much weaker than it seems. It's a single army, so it'll only attack once while each of your armies can also attack once. Just bring a large stack of cheap throwaway armies so it also deals lots of overkill, and it's an easy victory.
Killing it gives an achievement btw.
You can say that you can't all you want, but that won't change the fact. The fact, is that you can.
The Crystaline Bane is an event that only occurs with a Subterranean Origin. It turns the dig deeper event that gives bonus minerals to a recently colonized planet into that if you go deep enough. Non-Subterranean Origins stop at +25% minerals.
Fleet bombardment does a small amount of damage. However you are missing the point. Bombarding it keeps it from healing. So you start bombarding it and then throw massive amounts of armies at it until it dies. I think early game you go through about 100 army units.
