Crystalline bane on a planet 15k army.. lol
It seems thsi enemy crystalline army is still bugged. its not responsive to fleet bombardment and i cant build an army with 15k strength. fully impossible, even for a lategame empire with 30+ planets.

so, wtf is this thing in the game good for? i paly ironman mode and cant kill it by console. now it is blocking one og my three planets in the early midgame and i dont have more planets. thanks for nothing paradox, i can go for a new game...

15k strength is hardly impossible for a lategame empire.

Greed often leads to suffering. Important life lesson.

But the Kraken is much weaker than it seems. It's a single army, so it'll only attack once while each of your armies can also attack once. Just bring a large stack of cheap throwaway armies so it also deals lots of overkill, and it's an easy victory.

Killing it gives an achievement btw.

Bombing the planet is the most sure way to do it. It can't stop the bombing and so long as don't remove fleet you will eventually kill it. Mind you it could take 50 years so be sure to have this fleet as an extra you don't need to mobilise.

You can say that you can't all you want, but that won't change the fact. The fact, is that you can.

It is an endeavor that takes decades for a new empire.

The Crystaline Bane is an event that only occurs with a Subterranean Origin. It turns the dig deeper event that gives bonus minerals to a recently colonized planet into that if you go deep enough. Non-Subterranean Origins stop at +25% minerals.

Fleet bombardment does a small amount of damage. However you are missing the point. Bombarding it keeps it from healing. So you start bombarding it and then throw massive amounts of armies at it until it dies. I think early game you go through about 100 army units.

Yeah, but the OP did the right thing and came to forums to "discuss" it and was able to get help.

You don't have to be Lithoid

Oops. Let me fix that. I had it half right on the second part. I just normally do Lithoids because it is a HUGE bonus, lol.

hehe when I first saw this was a new event I planned ahead and made my empire designed around it with being very strong and the other one that makes defending armies better, landed 50k army, turned the world into fortress world. triggered the event and watched it get killed before it could even take over the planet. no such thing as dig too deep haha! I can understand if someone did not know ahead of time how it could be very annoying but really a 100K army is not at all hard to get mid game. early game could be done with just landing and bombing and landing and bombing forever.
