Do you think this will be the biggest update ever that will change stellaris forever?

Every version of Stellaris after 2.2 MegaCorp has the same foundation of economic system, and I really think 2.2 made Stellaris a much more immersive and believable nation sim, so I hope 4.0 is really just an improvement instead of a major rework.
i hope the pop change reduces lag on my low end system, ryzen 5 3600, because i can never play to end game due to lag, not even mid game
around 2400 on a 500 star galaxy with 16 ai empires, it starts to be laggy
Hopefully the performance increases actually happen. Why they can't just update the engine to better support multi-threading I don't know. Seems like instead of actually using tech that would fix everything, they're just simplifying the game to squeeze everything they can out of the outdated engine.
This is why I don't recommend this game to others.
And after the experience how balanced new mechanics are, we can wait a year until the game is playable again.
i will say i hope that the rework also buffs the economy for every type of empire.. (personal prefrence tough cause i do not like having to dedicate more planets to energy production eversince the the leader trait rework to remove nearly all ship upkeep reduction)
I already hate my guts the focus thingy and I hope it will not degenerate into mission trees shoved in DLCs. Dumbing down a game hoping to increase sales is despicable.

The game director said it won't be the case, but I know from experience that promises only bind those who believe in them.
I think that 4.0 will get some friends that think the game is too complicated into it, or to at least try it out. I'm pretty sure the constant anomaly pop ups is gonna be a huge turn off.
