Base game or starter pack

I've been looking at getting this for awhile and figured I'd finally go ahead and get it but is it worth getting the starter pack with some of the DLC or just get the base game starting out and get specific DLC on sale later?

I'd say play a bit the base game and see if you like it, then get starter pack if you do.

Edit: also I would strongly recommend waiting for a sale instead of buying full price, it goes on sale pretty frequently.

I agree with Silamon (sales part too)
IMO having DLCs or not wouldn't make a difference if the base game doesn't attract you.

Fanatical has a small sale on the stellaris game and dlcs right now, it's not much but better than full price.

Base game first - Stellaris has a brutal learning curve, try it out before dropping the big bucks.

Always buy DLC on sale or from legal key sellers, they are not normally worth paying full price for.
