Yeah i know, the consensus ist to just get gud when fighting cetana. But man...
I played a virtual empire, large galaxy, GA, no scaling, diff adj ai bonuses, low diff adj techn costs, x25 crisis strength. Now you might say, JuSt TuRn DoWN ThE DiFFicuLtY, The GaMe shOUld Be hard (on max difficulty).... But listen:
By 2315 i dominated the galaxy with only scholarium vassals, 50 empire size and good hopes for the lategame. You could say I played the most meta empire there is at the moment. 2400 Cetana spawned, my 20-25 repeatable (shield, energy weapons, explosives, kinetic and strike craft) did nothing when fighting her with 5800 nav cap ( custodian fleet meta battleships, 5 frigate fleets, around 17 meta battleship fleets + juggernaut), all vassals gave everything i was able to ask for, 2 out of my 4 ring segments were dedicated to alloys (income without upkeep of around 7k), 2 to tech (around 50k with vassal tribute) and still, i couldn't even chew through her armor. Aside from the situation bugging out and me not being able to attack her until the very last moment, my fleets couldn't even handle her with invincible console command. My economy was burning at this point and there was no chance of winning.
I'm just whining here because all the other crisises would have been OBLITERATED by my forces, so please, buff the other crises (which would not be fun to play against) or nerf cetana, at least make the "Cetana's Work" situation stop while she is in combat to allow for some time.
This experience, how cetana is implemented right now, was just frustrating and without ANY fun, 0/10

I was assuming you meant 1 fleet, yeah, cuz it was kind of a dumb comment since numerical fleet power of a singular fleet is pretty much meaningless in the context of 25x cetana.

Cetana down. Literally today. And that is literally just the fleets in my home system lol because im in progress of ending the game through the horizon needle. Rest are spread out throughout the galaxy because i was just using my crazy diplo weight to declare crisis wars on the big federations for the Lols.

You can play meta all you want but if you are bad at the game, you wont get her down. PS this empire im playing is not even a meta empire, its my roleplay under one rule origin empire.

Its the relic of beating cetana. Thats the relic you get for killing her, or you can just do the achievement by just letting her win but i didnt want to do that one.

Yes its 25x and end game is at 2400 mid game being 2300 and AI is high aggressive GA. on a max size galaxy and max AI. With max fallen.

I may not even finish the game because it is so beyond laggy. But yes its do able.

Like i said. Take cosmogenesis. You are really gimping yourself against cetena or literally any 25x crisis by not going cosmo. Its actually so blantantly overpowered, its a must have on high difficulties. And if you are not gonna go cosmo. GO crazy on torpedo frigates.

My original point to you was that 2 million fleet power was a meaningless metric (which it is).

25x was the premise of the OP.

My original point to you was that 2 million fleet power was a meaningless metric (which it is).

The second point was that a screenshot of a relic is meaningless information (which it is).

The relic screenshot was proof that i downed her. But i do wish i took a screenshot of the battle but i did not think about it until i was browsing the forums and saw this rant like right after.
The second screenshot... aka the fleets i used to down her.

I do not see how its a useless metric when OP is ranting how hard she is when she aint??? It is just overinflated healthpools which you counter by also using overinflated health pools. I came and gave advice. Stellaris aint that deep.

How can i beat her using a RP empire but OP cannot beat her using meta empire and doing all the right things. I am rather confused, mind you i do not play meta and ive been downing the crisis factions like they are nothing on a RP empire.

i think you are supposed to attack her convoys and destroy all her ouposts before declaring war
with that you slow down or even revert a bit her progress

Convoys and outposts are just busywork. The fleet power required to kill those is nothing in comparison to what's required to kill Cetana herself.

So how is that different from any other Crisis where you take out the smaller fleets and outlying outposts before hitting at their more heavily defended regions? The Scourge is nothing BUT busywork due to needing to bombard infested worlds, and both Unbidden and Contingency "just" need you to snipe their most heavily defended systems.

I can't help but feel this is more of "change this stuff that sucks, oh no they changed it now it sucks".
