Fruitful Partnership and Cordycepts Drones is a bit too overpowered of a combo
The new Fruitful Partnership origin is a lot of fun and starts you near the tiyanki home system plus allows for rapid colonization all over the universe. Paired with Cordycepts Drones civic for hive minds and you get a free ~5k power fleet every 5 years by making a starbase in the tiyanki home system and building the special component.

The moment the galactic council spawned I can vassalize every normal race that is not already in a federation or does not have their own vassals due to my overpowered zombie fleet and 20ish colonized planets bordering so many races.

Not even fun to continue at that point, so I would suggest not allowing both Fruitful Partnership and Cordycepts Drones at the same time.

Cool. I had the same idea which I mentioned in the thread about how much Fruitful Partnership sucked. There is always a way to utiltize something the way devs didn't think about :)

Do you always get the Tiyanki home system from the origin though, or did you just luck out with RNG?

The origin description just says "Home World: Tiyanki in a neighbouring system". I thought that just meant a tiyanki fleet would be nearby so you don't spawn somewhere where there aren't any.

Does anyone know if the origin is always next to the Tiyanki home system or could just be a random tiyanki fleet spawn (or the tiyanki graveyard system)?

That's exactly what it does. I started a few times and their home system was nowhere near my starting position. Seems like OP just got incredibly lucky.

OP just got lucky. Tyanki vek is not guaranteed. Those fleets are mostly threat value and are not great apart from being free initial engagement meat shields.
Horrendous food upkeep, easily kited as soon as opponents have combat computers and destroyers/missiles, get wrecked by laser/plasma which even the AI is very fond of building.

The origin is fun but not a reliable OP set up. A few aggressive military focused neighbours will take apart disjointed seeded planets. I cant see this origin being a walk in the park on higher difficulties or with genocidal neighbour spawns.

If Tiyanki does not spawn in a neighbouring system then it is a bug well at least if you can trust the origin description.

There is a difference between 1 Tiyanki fleet spawning next to your homeworld (which is in the description) And the tiyanki breeding grounds home system.

In my 3 tests, the breeding ground always spawned between 4 and 10 jumps from your homeworld (Medium universe). The description of the origin does state you start near it but it is never in view or right next door that I have seen.

No you do not. You have a pod of Tiyanki in a neighboring system when you start to get the whole seeding thing started, but there is no guarantee that you are close to their home system.

No it doesn't. It just says that there will be Tiyanki in a neighboring system to YOUR home system, nothing about their home being there.

I guess it depends on how you interpret that description. I read it as "The homeworld of Tiyanki is in neighboring system", but I guess it can just as well be "Your homweworld is next to a Tiyanki (spawn)".

It's the latter. Or rather, mechanically it's "A Tiyanki fleet spawns in a system next to your home world".

Look at Prosperous Unification, it uses the same kind of formatting to explain what's added to your homeworld.
