Revert the patch, this is embarrassing
The game is in such a mess that it's actually depressing to see it like this; you learned absolutely nothing from the beta. I was actually hyped for the new performance fix for the game, but the fact that it does absolutely NOTHING to fix the endgame and removes a bunch of mechanics that made the game fun (RIP tall empires) adds dozens of game-breaking bugs that can be seen at first glance when playing the game for a few minutes, and the UI, Jesus, it's totally unacceptable that it was made in such a state because there are already mods that fix it, so there should be no excuses for it.

Can we all just accept that Stellar's endgame lag is just going to exist no matter what? The game was in a very good state before 4.0; if something is not broken, then don't try to fix it, and if you do, at least do it right. This patch needed more MONTHS of cooking.

Whoever is responsible for quality control of the updates needs to be fired and ashamed of themselves. :steamfacepalm:

I'm sticking with the 3.14 version for now, which is sad because most mods are now broken, and I'm not sure if multiplayer will work anymore.

No.

If this update solves that issue, for this reason alone it would be the best update in Stellaris history.

The game was, and has been broken for years, and the bandaid fix that wrecked late game balance adding arbitrary caps to empires, which didn't really solve the issue anyway, was one of their worst ideas.

Can't revert because then they would have to remove the new DLC and give people their money back. They're just here for profit, nothing more.
understandable, wait for bug fixes i guess or complain
Performance is worse now, sadly.

Complain and leave negative reviews seems better. Enjoy your garbage.
The DLC and the update are joined at the hip so there's zero chance of them rolling anything back. As one poster said, they would never give people the season pass/dlc money back.

u seem to enjoy complaining than waiting
Game works fine for me, gotten a good way through the early game and have yet to see even a glimpse of this "mess" people seem to be crying about... UI is a bit clunky but is still entirely navigable with a bit of critical thinking, which I understand is asking quite a lot nowadays.

Its not just about the bugs, its the gameplay with new districts, sorry but the old system even tho it was laggy, it was much more enjoyable, it allowed you to have more versatile planets, now its really simplistic for no reason because the performance still sucks.

The game needs 5.0 update lmao.

The thing is that it was being sold as being great for performance, but in actuality it just runs way worse.

Ignorance is bliss, as they say.

No.

The fact that the end game is going to be processing literally hundreds of thousands of pops/ships/resources is not something we should be expecting a quick fix for.

But you know what does help? Better CPU and cracking planets.

They didnt even check all their new mechanics for Grand Archive before releasing it... It's really just rembarassing.

wth do you mean by "a quick fix"? How meany YEARS do you think the community has been waiting for a fix for the game being literally unplayable?

And what kind of BS "solution" is that? Everyone should just play genocidal and take that one ascension perk every game to try and uselessly make the game run better by taking care of 1% of the issue in a match?

I can see why you're banned now.
