I have 7 planets and every single one of them has amenities in the negative because they got 0 pops doing the job
I like this. But the issue is you have no way or pioritizing or assigning Maintenance drones, and your pops IMMEDIATELY fill up menial or complex jobs first before ever becoming maintenance drones. So a single big rush of upgrades will cripple a colony and there is no real way to fix it.
edit: b4 anyone spergs out saying their hive was fine, forest dont count they basicly dont use amenities
Seems to me like its the same for everyone.
Gestalt empires. So both machine empires (not individulistic machines) and hive minds.
This is very bad because expansion is very hard as it will have a lot of your available work force that is in amenities migrate because they are the equivalent of an unemployed strata job and this leaves you with a deficit in those planets.
Of course there are some work arounds like manually lowering the jobs on higher strata to forcefully demote the drones and get amenities again. With hive minds if they are the right phenotype you have the rooted trait that makes it so they never migrate on their own which solves that problem without a need to manually changing the work force but it means you need to migrate manually all the time once a planet cannot realistically grow anymore (when it has all the districts and slots filled and all workforce necessary for those jobs filled.
Your answer does not make sense.
He said they don't have them, and suggested others do.
And could you tell me which buildings you are talking about specifically? Because I still have not seen any building that gives amenities per district.
----------
Anyways, I just checked in game if there was a way to get amenities per district, which gestalt empires do not get.
And yes there is a way, but hive minds can do it too. Machines apparently not, so maybe that is what Archaon was trying to say.
As non gestalt, you can choose the mercantile tradition, then you can get +200 amenities per 100 traders, and build a commercial nexus to get traders per city district, which essentially give you amenities per district.
Hives don't get mercantile but instead they get synchronicity, and with that you can get 2 amenities per synapse drone. Which comes out to basically the same, only that you build administrative hubs to get synapse drone jobs per district.
Machines get evaluators reduce deviancy by 3 instead.
I do like that this update has forced me to use the resettle button the most I've ever had to in the entire game. Also do note, my build was probably at least somewhat meta for rapid machine empire expansion, with the pop assembly trait and civic and the cheaper building civic, along with the machine world origin, and as such, I consequently had an easier time with economics.
Apart from the spawning pool, no job seems to produce em. So all my colonies hate life.
Compare all the housing buildings for each empire type.
Luxury housing gives 2500 amenities and 3000 housing. The upgrade, Paradise Dome gives 5000 amenities and 6000 housing.
What does my Hive warren or my Drone storage give me?
500 amenities + 300 housing and 300 amenities + 400 housing respectively.
The upgraded versions give 1000 amenities + 600 housing and 600 amenities +800 housing respectively.....
You can just see someone either forgot to add a 0 somewhere or added an extra 0 somewhere. No wonder Bio empires have it so easy with Amenities right now!
If my Robots had a Luxury housing equivalent, amenities would not be a problem.
