Unemployment Numbers question (4.0)
I see when I cursor over the unemployment that "There are no Unemployed Specialist pops on this Planet" which is my capital, but the number went from 2 to 3 just now.

What do the 2 and 3 mean?

I think it might be a bug. Pops are generating into that 'layer'. but if there is no job available for them, they are then unemployed, and will then eventually demote into civilian. Basically, don't get worried about that until Unemployed pops figure goes to double digits or more

Civilian is your pool of unemployed pops.

Some advice: You will want to resettle enough to your new colony from your starting Civilian pool to be at slightly less than half capacity, otherwise you will be behind on growth for years. The old technique of just settle everywhere ASAP doesn't work anymore and is in fact actively harmful

Half Capacity of the new Colony?
Or Half Capacity of the Capital's Civilian pool?

It is a bit less than half capacity of the new colony. I don't know the exact number but you will need to move over all of your starting civilians to your guaranteed habitable worlds.

On the new planet screen mouse over the Planet Size text and it will tell you what the capacity of the planet is.

You can also wait for emigration from your starter planet if you don't build anything but that takes ten years or more to empty out your civilians. Get them shipped out as soon as you have jobs available for them.

Ah, that capacity. Thanks! I just completed my first colony and was looking for the Civilian max, lol.
