Update Species Packs Paradox!.
Just wanna point out something that is annoying that Developers like the ones who make this game just seem to leave out completely. and that is updating their own old content.
Old DLC that could use some love ever now and then, And before it comes to the idea that it cant be done, Ludeon Studios do it with their old DLC.
Why an i annoyed, The "Infernals Species Pack". Its cool that its getting its own planet type the Volcanic Worlds. and coming with its own crisis. I love that. I loved Aquatics Species and its own Ocean Paradise planet type. That's great we want that, we want more of that. But can you update my old boys like the Lithoids now, giving that you are adding another planet type into the Salad. can you give the lithoids, that is the same price as all the other Species Packs but 1/5th the content an update. some kind of Crystallised carbon dioxide dominant planet would be really great. While im at it cause its not like this ever gets read by any dev. Plantoids Species could use an Overgrown forest planet type. like the 2 i just Suggested to make them work have the planets colonised but not started with, having them self terraform overtime.
I know its like 99.999% sure i'm asking too much. But show your fanbase that its just about the pushing out new overpriced underdeveloped fortnightly content. Update some of your old DLC "4FREE" and show us that you actually like the game you are developing.

I think Lithoids work fine the way they are. Their increased habitability uses planets different enough from how other archetypes use them that their approach to the game is pretty unique already among non-gestalt.

They also have access to traits that still do things that no other race can be by default, which open up quite a few strategies that are not otherwise possible - albeit mostly cheesy strategies.

Plus, they may even have unique interactions with the new Infernal planet type. And no, we don't need a new planet type for every single species, that's just silly. Let it be the thing unique to Infernals.

Overall, they're perhaps a bit generic, but they do have a cohesive theme and a unique place in the game. This constant battle for "coolness creep" really needs to stop.

They have updated the old species packs and added stuff for free, more then once to the same packs even. That said, they haven't updated them to "infernals" level, but they were never at "infernals" price point either so that is likely unreasonable to expect.

Species packs used to be very barebones. I'l use the "Humanoids" species pack as my example, it had the following at its release:
- A bunch of Portraits.
- 1 Ship set.
- 1 City set.
- 1 Premade empire (Voor Technocracy).
- 3 new advisor voices.
- 3 new music tracks.

And that was all. No civics, no origins, no traits.

For humanoids they have (over time) added the following for free (might very well have missed something, they haven't even updated the Steam storepage with all the additions and i can't find a complete list :P):
- Civic, Masterful Crafters.
- Civic, Pleasure Seekers.
- Civic, Pompous Purists.
- Trait, Existential Iteroparity.
- Trait, Jinxed.
- Trait, Psychological Infertility.
- Origin, Clone Army.
