And my obligatory need in this instance is to say: I don't care and thus I didn't finish reading.
Good talk.
In fact, I'd pay more and even consider prepaying if it meant that they made the modders' lives easier.
It has to do with the chinese review bombing that occured earlier, having something to do with... India focus tree or something in HOI4, IDK. Essentially the chinese playrbase reviewbombed all paradox games, which have nothing to do with HOI4, which definitely classifies as 'off-topic review activity'.
They want to be angry, and they found a reason to be angry, so allow them to be angry.
They are lacking interesting concepts for their DLC for a while now for almost all their games. Hearts of Iron 4 cannot carry their company all by itself. They really need to reorganize and get their games and their DLC in order. I would argue that Stellaris hasnt had a good enough DLC for me to come back because of a DLC being out for years, I only came back to playing after 2021 in my own desire to play it again.
A lot of us don't play games because of new and interesting DLC, we play games because we enjoy them as they are.
I haven't spent 27 and a half years playing Quake II because it has a bunch of neat DLC. I've spent 27 and a half years playing Quake II because it is a perfect game as it is.
( also you picked the Greek character set, not the latin one )
Meanwhile most o us enjoy having content that would have never existed for a fair price.
They didn't contribute to your cause, you contributed to theirs.
Your narrative is something less than 10% (in the worst case scenarios) reviews cover and have covered since the launch of every paradox game in the last decade, they never made a difference, you're just adding weight to the chinese nonsense over game mechanics and nationalism as that's hitting every game in recent months in much larger numbers.
Also, I don't know what you've been doing but they just released their best DLC for stellaris rather recently, the machine age is as important as Utopia, and has far more content.
NGL, i wouldn't mind a working full-scale overhaul for Psionics and Genetics, same like the Machine Age did for Cyborgs and Robots.
The problem with these is that PDX is actively re-selling you an overhaul for game areas which were already handled by previous DLCs.
> Why did we buy those previous DLCs, if their content becomes obsolete by having to own another DLC for a much wider and deeper experience?
> Will the recent DLCs also become obsolete by additional revamps?
> Is this what we can expect from PDX for all future games and their DLCs?
CK3 became even worse. You had several DLCs where the focus was completely obscure. Example, what am i buying with Legends of the Dead? Diseases? Funerals? Legends?
Or why do i need to buy a Byzantium-themed DLC, just to have landless adventurers in western europe offering their service?
It should allow you to play versions from even befor 2.0
