Vivarium question
Im doing the beat endgame crisis as only bio ships achievement and the vivarium systems isn't explained super well. Am i supposed to cull the higher tier creatures or let them breed and fill the whole vivarium with them. Cus you clone the creatures so idk if i need them alive to clone them or cull them to get the genetic material to clone them.

You cull a higher tier- you get that higher tier to make at the cloner/shipyard.
Once you cull a legendary (orange) the Vivarium is basically useless for that animal type, besides cheap food/minerals and small amounts of research.

You dont really need it to make bio-ships, you just need the resources and the genetic code of at least basic to build ships.

Ive gone to end game with bio-ships, once you have legendary for everything just throw it on auto-cull and never look in the tab again...

not much experience with wvivarium, only one run
but i think you need to collect rarest and cull common, so they would create better offspring, which would provide you more resources later

I mean if you have problems with food or minerals, or research, a slew of legendary space fauna can help.. for like 5 seconds.. but really once you have the legendary types for animals it's best to just build something else other then tanks... Also remember that you CAN make adult versions of fauna- you dont have to wait for them to grow from babies... you just need the higher tier research, and then select it in the fleet plan menu... it also costs 4x as much.
