Too much content
I think this is the first time I'll ever say this but this game has too much content. Jumped in recently after not playing for a good year and a half and its chaos. I just get so overwhelmed by 50 different pop ups every minute. Makes the game more stressful than it is especially after a long day of work.

Set it to the slowest speed. You'll eventually fall asleep. ;)

relearn it slowly. or better yet. automate first the other stuff. until you can manually play again.

It's just having to relearn new mechanics can be difficult, I haven't played in about a year and I was struggling to figure out how to build a science ship at start lmao. Next game I played I'm breezing through popups and micro managing 40+ planets and fighting insane lag and desync

If there's too much content then you can stick to an older version, even the tile version of this game when there were only 2 DLCs.

Eh, I disagree. It's fun. I hope they keep adding new content.

The last time I played you could choose how you travelled between systems!

I like this game because of all the reading. It is story and events and things happening. While at the same time interactive with other things going on in the game.

50 pop ups a minute... seems crazy to me though. I never get that amount of pop ups per minute. I would say 10-15 per minute? I think that you might be playing on the FASTEST speed setting. I play on FAST.
You must be the FASTEST.

When in doubt, purge the Xenos.

RIP pre-cherryh.

But now we got Eager Explorers, so it's like a tylenol for the pain.

There are too many popups, I'll definitely agree with that. Notification settings kind of help, but also not really. Too much "content" though? I don't think so.

Like the OP, I also had to cut back on a few of the extra event mods. The rate they kept popping up was just too much and too fast. Now I have it just about right.

Hi Mate, have recently just had a similar experience after playing 500+ hours pre nemesis, coming back was quite a challenge, three major reworks, planets, not including all of the DLC, make it play almost like a different game, that’s before adding your potential plethora of mods. It was absolutely worth spending the time to relearn it though, I think most additions are positive (minus cloaking).

Just take your time with it, and start a few different games/origins with different builds. An hour watching some videos here or there on some of the biggest changes, best traits/origins/civics will repay you with countless hours of replayability depending what type of player you are.

Protip if you have latest dlc, machines are markedly better than most organic/bio starts , but you can do some really wild and fun things if you want to lean into/rp something specific.

This game isn't nearly as unplayable as Talisman is with ALL content enabled
