The year is 2340.
Going into synthetics from Harmony+Venerable 3 of my 12 synthetic leaders die within one month. Over the next 2 years I had to replace 10 of 12 leaders. Only the foreign non-synthetics survived.
I understand leader die, but right now Synthetics is a mistake.

This is shown in Stellaris. The first 500 years of your empire is more like working off the dying leadership. Once lifespan gets high enough the likelihood of leaders surviving even longer increases.
