Can't purge pop?

So I started playing again after the first contact DLC got released. And I can't seem to purge pop's.


Policies: The purge option here is set to "Displacement Only".

Species Rights: I can see that the purge type is set to "Displacement" however the whole option is grayed out. Under the "Citizenship" dropdown menu the option "Undesirables" is grayed out with following text: "Purging of non-robots is outlawed".

I'm unsure why I can't purge pops?

I guess your policy on pre-ftl interference is set so active/limited? Change it to aggressive interference and you can purge away.
Why the policy on pre-ftl civs enlightenment should interfere with your choice to purge pops or not I have no idea.

Doesn't work, it was always set to aggressive in my game.

Maybe something else then. I tried it out. I had the policy set to active and could not purge with the purging of non robots is outlawed message. Changed it to aggressive and was able to displace.

Somewhere in your policies you have outlawed organic purges.

I think there migh be a scale in which slaves are considered above purgees and since you can't have slaves you can't purge.

If you go into the file listed in that post (He gives the file path for easy reference) and add the line of code back in it works again!

Yea I saw but won't that disable my achievements?

you can only purge if youre a xenophobe, fanatic xenophobe, gestalt consciousness, or you have the undertaker perk.

if you meet one of the above criteria, you have to change your policy to purge, then change each species rights.
