Stellaris crash upon loading into main menu.

Question for everyone who mods their game. I used to modify the 00_defines file to give myself more starting civics since I couldn't find a mod that gave me the value I wanted. With this latest update whenever I try to mod the file like I did previously Stellaris crashes to desktop upon loading into the main menu. Anyone know what could be causing this?

Be sure you're using notepad++ or visual studio code to modify the defines file, as regular notepad will save text files in the wrong format.

Does the game crash without loading your modded defines file? If so, in the launcher go to video, and choose borderless fullscreen or windowed video mode.
