Vivarium question

I used the Vivarium to terraform 2 barren but terraformable (if I had the tech, which I don't) planets into Gaia planets. I have one use left... what happens if I target a planet that is not "terraformable" and so doesn't have a planet size? Do you get a random sized planet or does it fail or what?

Lifeless worlds without the candidate modifier do still have a size, the UI just does not show it. You can generally guess at the size by observing how large it appears in the system view. Should be able to easily pick out a nice 27-30 size planet by eye.

I heard there is a size 50 barren world disguise as gas giant. But you need to have that anormaly then get the vivarium to terraform it

I remember when the galactic paragon dlc dropped, one of the paragon had that ability, people used it on gas giants (cause they're really big planets) and they'd be able to consistently get around size 50 gaia.

pretty sure theres an annoying to get to menu for "non-teraformable" planets to get to that has the size on it along with event modifiers.

I terraformed a big looking molten world and ended up with a size 30 gaia so mission accomplished, thanks.

I look at a world I know that around size 30 with it zoomed out, I may even put a piece of paper up to the screen and mark its size.
Then I begin looking at barren and molten worlds of about the same size.
My current save I used Azaryn to do a 28 and 2 30's.
Never seen a 50 and don't believe it is possible.

The size 50 planet i heard is the gas giant that is actually barren world. There is one anormaly event that science ship research it and find out it is actually barren world. Then if you get the vivarium to terraform it you will get size 50 planet.
Dont know whether it is still possible or not.

50 Gaia is YUGE!!!!

I just got it, size 50 planet but need 6000 days(with edict) / 9000 days(without edict ) to terraform. But no use for me as i get the event at early game but get vivarium at end game.
