i had mods installed, but disabled them all, got a bunch of achieves recently, but yesterday, i go to start a new game, same conditions, but the checksum is modified.
as im on geforce i cant do a full re-install, but ive disabled all mods, verified files, all looks good, but still says the checksum is modified.

everyone can do full reinstall, even "geforce"(c)
try deleting mods folder at least, then verify files integrity

problem is that GeForce did not update the game to the current version and the game is still being updated on 81e1 build. I wrote to support and you can too

Uninstalling and reinstalling on GFN Server instance does not resolve the issue for me.

I just looked and am seeing the same issue. Only now the un-modded checksum should be a394, but is 47db after the new version release.
My ticket with Nvidia is still open, but I haven't seen any updates since 10/11.

I think the installation of GFN has some corrupted files in it. I get the excat same problem. I am talking with an level 2 technical support and explain my thoughts to him. I hope it can be resolved soon.

If you need another ticket number to Nvidia ticket number to back you up, let me know.

I wouldn't be surprised if the problem turned out to be related to this note from yesterday's hotfix, in a round about way: (mods GFN make temporarily to facilitate things?)

"Several players have reported their mods not fully uninstalling, so you may need to manually clear your mods folder if you continue having issues."
Chinsknie Nov 2, 2024 @ 8:58am
How do you deleted the mod folders manually? I tried but it's not working. I also tried a complete new GFN account with a complete new steam account where I bought Stellaris. I then started the game and still have the wrong checksum. I think the problem is with the installation on GFN it makes no sense otherwise.

Sorry, I was trying to say I agree.

GFN might not be doing a good cleanup of their internal mods they need to make things work. Especially if they are taking for granted a built in process by Paradox.

Another problem is it makes GFN look to have been compromised.
After all, an outside file collection is failing a first order security operations check. By not matching the public checksum without explanation, one can not know what alterations were made nor why.

Hopefully GFN made the alterations and just aren't sharing why.

FYi- looks to be fixed
