Is Stellaris more fun than CK3?
I'm kinda getting bored of CK3, but not sure if its worth jumping into Stellaris.

the two games have nothing in common other than both being paradox games and both being strategy games (more or less)

i played stellaris alot more than CK3. it's a decent game. can't tell you if you'll like it or not. guess you could watch some let's plays to see if the gameplay is appealing to you

Is more fun because events are more original

Is football more fun than basketball? It depends on what you like better.
So, no one but you can answer this question accurately for you.
Since you are asking this in the Stellaris forum, expect answers to be skewed towards Stellaris.

it is mostly that CK3 is only for Dynasties while Stellaris is your empire

On CK you can start being King of England and end up a count in China Stellaris is doesn't have that sure there are rebelions and etc....BUT in the end your empire is you

More than that both are Paradox games and most of it is the same(except races they play completely different from each other)

I play both, but overall it depends on what you prefer. Stellaris is a sci fi space 4x strategy rpg. CK3 is a medieval dynasty simulation rpg.

They both fit different niches and do different things with a completely different focus. Like HOI4 is vastly different from either CK3 or Stellaris.

However if you like CK3, chances are you'll find Stellaris to be a fresh but similar experience that you'll enjoy.

Thanks for the feedback, is Stellaris purely open sandbox or is there some narrative/story to help add purpose?

You can pick an "origin" when you start that gives potential for limited set narratives, but it's mostly sandbox. There are also plenty of events that have self-contained stories. I am a fan of Stellaris and CK3 and I agree with the comments that say they are completely unrelated. That said, I appreciate that Stellaris is not set on the fixed continents of Earth like other Paradox games. The open-endedness of a galaxy is nicer than the 1,000th game in Western Europe

Stellaris is like civs more complicates neighbor, its not better or worse than CK becuase people come into it with different expectations, you should just try it out, thats about the only way to know if youll like these games or not

CK3 is better for RP choices, character creation, building families, breeding freaks etc

Stellaris is vastly more fleshed out if your wallet can take the strain. I like CK 3 but if you play to the end it lacks content for that kind of duration.

I find with Stellaris I start to get bored around the end game crisis time as by then you've got a war in heaven going on and ai empires dropping like flies and then the end game crisis kicks in. That's fun the first few times but it gets old after hundreds of hours.

Neither. It's a strategy game. 4X. Like Civilization (regarding your question, not gameplay in general).

the space exploration is definitely more fleshed out in this title than it is in ck3, imo the jump is well worth

In CK3 the only space that matters is the space between your sisters thighs
