How do you use the Quantum Catapult?

How do I select a destination? how do I send a ship through. I repaired it, it implies I can use it, getting a upgrade to improved quantum catapult but the text says it will lower how long the fleet is missing. So does anyone know how to select a destination and use it? I keep getting a message no destination selected. I have tried galaxy view, and solar system view. Any help would be appreciated.

Apparently according to videos the fleet in question gets a new icon like how the jump drive has its own icon.
I assume you move your ships in the quantum catapult system then use the new icon to set the target reticle and it'll launch your ships to a spot in that reticle.

If anyone has instructions on how to use the Quantum Catapult - Because no new icon shows up when a ship is in orbit. Right clicking on the Quantum Catapult has the following options - Enter Orbit, or Travel through Quantum Catapult - but its X out - the message says no known destination. Left click just has a upgrade option to further upgrade the quantum catapult - time that a ship remains in transit.

Okay figured it out for else. If you bring a ship to orbit the quantum catapult - then go to the galaxy view of the game - from there the ship will suddenly have a icon highlighted at the top of the ship/fleet card that has a ship with a arrow - then you can select the destination. Why this doesn't show up in the solar view and only in the galaxy view is weird (it should just change my view to galaxy when you click on it, and it should be a option you can select as well).
