Several Megastructures need you to manually place them once you select them.
Several have restrictions on where you can place them.
Just clicking the "Build Megastructure" button in the constructors controls is not a good idea, as it lets you select anything.
Its best to just right click a system with a Constructor, and then see what are restricted, and what you can build. Only you have selected to build something there, a sound effect should be heard once you actually give the commend (Qued up commands make no noise).
If a sound doesn't play, you need to manually target a celestial object like a Molten World for an Arc Furnace or a Colony for an Orbital Ring.
Same problem. I went to the GIGA mod first because I thought something was broken there, but it seems to be a general problem.
Then I guess I just have to wait and hope that Paradox fixes it? Or at least pray that they don't make it worse
