Grand Archive, Disabled slots, enabling slots to the maximum of nine?

How can i increase the Number of slots usable to the maximum of 9 in each category in the Grand Archive?

I get it, that there is a limit of 9 Specimens in each category to display and that it is not possible to swap specimens from storage (frankly, thats stupid). But in my case i'm only able to display 5 Aestethic wonders, 4 Galactic History and 4 Xeno Geology. The rest of the Slots are greyed out and can not be activated.

I have a feeling, that this issue is more due to my incompetence than anything else, but i did not find any Answer even after hours of searching.

Edit: i am stupid... those little credit signs under the slots? Yeah, thats not the selling price of the artifact, thats the cost of expansion. Leaving this up, so maybe if someone else runs into the same trap they don't have to embarass themselves too
