Necrophage shortage issues
Issue #1 The necrophyte jobs rely on pop growth and dont count the amount of pops on the planet if you have a planet with 100 non necropops the necro ascension job will only have an output of 1 becuase the planet is capped reducing pop growth.

Issue #2 The settings you can change to increase gameplay performance will effect necrophytes aswell because its based off of pop growth.

Issue #3 techs that upgrade the necrophyte buildings arent garunteed meaning you can get unlucky and play up to or past the mid game not having the tech

I understand playing a xenophobe necrophage or getting the right techs can fix these issues but the difference between a non xenophobe necro and a xenophobe necro are night and day and its basically unplayable unless you choose to have a second primary species to cover the missing jobs.

conquer and enslave
why grow pops?

Go Genetic Ascension and clone the pops instead. Hell, you can even move past the need for subservient species with careful curating of your genome in this way. And the performance of the game as pop numbers go up is true for every playstyle, not merely the necrophage one.

I dont think your understanding what im saying the issue isnt the pop growth the issue is that a building that converts non necro pops into necros works based off of pop growth with a max of 3 and a minimum of 1 these pops ascend into necrophages after 5 years but because the building converts based off of pop growth instead of 3 converting every 5 years its 1. Im not growing necrophages im growing a sub spieces that ascend into necrophages through a building.

Have you ever played necrophage?? I described a scenario where i did conquer and enslave you dont grow necros you convert enslaved pops into necros through a building that isnt working as intended.

The upgraded building, the House of Apotheosis, removes the necrophyte/popgrowth proportionality cap, and increases the number of necrophyte jobs to 6.

You will need the Glandular Acclimation tech to unlock the building

The Chamber of Elevation mainly functions the way it does for both balance and to prevent players from inadvertently 'running out' of any client species too early

checked the wiki
how badly you need to screw up, that your planet has less than 0.3 pop growth(for 3 necrophite jobs) while you still don't have Glandular Acclimation?

you only need to research two tier 3 techs(they even have increased weight for necrophage)
just try to ignore other tier 3 society techs, so you won't open way to tier 4, that way soon you'll get option for Gene Tailoring and later for Glandular Acclimation

Usually growth that low is because of migration (which can be toggled off at the species level)

A newly conquered planet with gobs of slaves and stability issues... that would do it

Non-Xenophile Necrophages can use the Devolver Colossus on their enemies and set Presapients to Tolerated - which lets you Necropurge them. This lets you Necropurge without opinion penalties as Presapients have different rights. I've used this workaround before and it really does feel like a Lawful Evil Necrophage tactic.

thanks for the name of the tech i need prob gon learn a way to rush it but i still think its odd that other origins get guaranteed techs but necrophage doesn't and xenophobe necros get to skip the issue entirely.
