Auto-cull needs fixed
I had managed to get breeding groups of exceptional amoebas, tiyanki, cuthuloids. Not realizing how auto-culling works, when I checked back, all my exceptionals were gone, replaced with juvenile commons, and some rares. It's taking forever to build my stocks back.

That's like being a dog breeder and euthanizing your champion dogs to make room for some random dogs from the shelter.

Adding an option as to what level, and age gets auto-culled would make it useful. As it is, I've turned it off and now I regularly check and mulch all the commons. rares, and sometimes epics.

Also having a "the vivarium is at capacity" message would be great.

Yes, let's turn this game into a breeding simulator. And while fixing this, please remove the superfluous stuff about spaceships and planetary management. :steamhappy::steamsalty:

So as far as im aware the vivarium specimen rarity only matters for how much the cull option gives and to get the genetics for better ships to be made however when you make your ships they dont come from your vivarium so once you have culled an exceptional fauna you can always make a ship of that type and having it in your vivarium only serves to give extra when you cull it.

have not really seen that issue - the only thing that went wrong in my vivarium is that it killed all my voidworm troikas leaving me with two adults that are not enough to make a new troika kek

You're extremely constructive comment is duly noted. Seldom have I encountered such sage wisdom.

It's almost like I'd like a feature of the game to work as intended so I can focus on things like fleet and planetary management instead of playing whack-a-mole by hand so I don't lose the specimens that are pushing my research and resources faster than my opponents. But what do I know, in the face of such insightful comments as yours.

Does two exceptional fauna give birth to a exceptional offspring? Or even have a higher chance of doing so? I'd not then it does not matter.

from what i saw their outcome is fully random - i kept one exceptional for ages waiting for it to pop out another exceptional to harvest for the dna - constantly spit out anything common to after ages finally some exceptional

I think they're more likely to spawn higher quality offspring. Before it mulched all my exceptional tinyanki, almost all the ones I was getting were exceptional.
