Your Best/Must Play Mods
We all know about NSC3, Gigastructural Engineering, ACOT, and Planetary Diversity, but what all your lesser known must haves?

No federations, limit 2 vassals, and no habitats. (last for lag and eliminates most of the siege warfare the late game becomes) For the hate diplomacy crowd. Free for all 4X madness.

Limit 2 vassals sounds pretty nice, but no federations??? Madness

I would also like to highly recommend the space debris mod, its very cool coming into an unexplored area of the galaxy that other empires in your game previously fought in and imaginging the history of what happened in the battle as the debris vary by the amount of ships destroyed

I usually prefer to play without mods while exploring new content between big patches, but the mods I consider essential are:

◆ Expanded Colours [180 Colours]
◆ Planetary diversity
◆ Guilli's Planet Modifiers and Features
◆ Ethics and Civics Classic
◆ Diverse rooms

It must be said that if the options allow it, I also disable all sorts of exotic new resources and buildings that significantly affect the game balance. All I need is more planet types and unusual modifiers for them.

Here, There be dragons.
It is nice to be able to add a dragon or 2 to your navy. It can be a pain in the beginning when you are gathering info to research so you can make them friendly so you can collect their eggs, but it is worth it to me to have to micromanage to get ships out of the systems that they are heading towards etc.

I don't play MP, but I think it is good.
You pay up front as dragons are really harassing the F out of you early when you are trying to explore and build out, limiting your expansion some, but then you make up for it when you get your dragon(s).
I limit myself to 2 dragons mid game and 4 in end game.

Also you have to keep the "Dragon Friend" edict going the entire game, and that cost like 50 energy (cannot remember the amount).
I think overall you get an advantage with them, but it isn't game killing. It sure makes it a lot more fun for me.

Stellaris Evolved is fun for a few games. It overhauls a lot of the game and adds more of pretty much everything. It's not finished (in alpha), but its still fun.

The Star Wars mods are neat too, the LOTOR-age one and the Post-ROTS one
