Trying To Max Alloys
Like you do.

Do I want mining districts or industrial districts in a forge world?

You want industrial districts in a forge world, supplied by mining districts in mining worlds.

I thought the names and descriptions were self explanatory.

Forge/Factory/Industrial Worlds want Industrial Districts.

Mining Worlds want Mining Districts.

The better way to max alloys, though, is to turn all Worlds you plan on using as foundries into Ecumenopolis Foundries instead.

all resources usually become som abundant in the late game for me that i dont really put that much effort into it.. i instead keep most of my planets maxed out on research and unity.

quick unity means i quickly fill up those that allow for all these extra bonuses for resources.

I find that ecumenopolis planets are the best for upping your alloy production overall.

For late game the above tips are good. As for early on I like to temporarily switch all of my factory/industrial worlds into forge worlds for a boost in alloy production so I can get more starbases built. You just need to make sure to save up enough consumer goods in your storage so that you don't go into deficit immediately.

You want to increase alloy production by increasing mineral production? while minerals are used to make alloys you want to focus on the former instead of the latter especially when you can trade for minerals from other empires instead.

Building a Matter Decompresser (Mega Structure you build over a Black Hole) can fuel multiple Force Worlds single handingly with Minerals. After a few months you usually max out your Mineral Stockpile regulary even whilst selling some

Obviously thats just a Lategame Option thought and requires a Ascention Slot

I'd like to put in a kind word for foundry ring-world segments, too. It's an "either/or" with the ecumenopolis that can be an "and" if you really want to rip the ceiling off of your alloy production.

Ring worlds are for research, unless you are out of planets.
