Paragons should be immortal
seems an odd choice to have such unique characters who only exist for such a short period of time. frequently less than 1/20th of a game. every game i play i always add the chronofuge to every paragon i recruit.

and if they didnt just want to give it to us, it should at least be a research option available when you recruit your first one. it just feels bad, every time, a paragon dies. when it is my mistake, letting them get killed in combat or something then it SHOULD feel bad... but to have them just drop dead a few measly years after recruiting is just bad on every level.

You're not the first person to say so. "Is the paragons system good or bad?" is one that's kind of resolved itself into people who still play pre-paragons and people who do not.

I think the system is fine. A Paragon in the early game can be a game changer, and they will be fondly remembered for their contributions to the empire. Meanwhile, in the mid to late game, immortality is achievable in a few ways, if you're into that.

The only thing I'd change about the system is letting the player gene mod Paragons. It's weird that biological "immortality" is achievable via gene modding, but Paragons, since they are of "Unknown" species, cannot enjoy it.
