Close those jobs. Or don't take virtuality.

Close the jobs? What do you mean? They are all unemployed.

Unemployed virtual pops?
Virtual pops are created whenever a job is created to fill that job.

Only if you are a machine empire that had gone through the entire virtual tradition tree. Before you finish the tree they behave like normal pops (but are still virtual).

Apperently synth ascension bio empires can also make their pops virtual depending on their choices in the ascension situation or the mini situation after finishing the their tradition tree (second hand info, haven't done it myself) and they also don't get the instant pop benefit.

Right, but if this isn't real virtuality how does he in "a matter of years have 5k pops"?

*shrugs* mods?

Did you use the "Cease drone production" decision on your worlds? If you didn't, in addition to the virtual pops that auto-spawn with the Virtuality tradition, your world will keep producing non-virtual pops too (but that shouldn't be in the order of 5k, that's an unusually high number :/ ). (As a note, using those non-virtual pops on the lathe works, if anyone is wondering ;) )

One solution you *can* do is to in the game increase the number of settlements and jobs yu have available: that will help big time- especially if there's not enough jobs, but too many population is not a disaster at all: killing them off or cutting down population growth always is, however.

I did, but I needed to kill off 1k of the pops to stop my computer from dying. I have now official sworn off virtual.

It is if you cpu can't handle it. LOl the game wasn't moving at all, even on slow.

You shouldnt have any unemployed pops if you went virtual, unless they arent from your main species.

I tried it again, cheated to speed it up as far as getting all the tech and traditions goes, went from 10 pops to 1k pops in a year, destroyed my game. I have no idea whats causing it. They were all unemployed.
