Help me with my Aquatic human Atlantis build
Anglers, Catalytic processing, Agarian for the food production which should in theory boost my Anglers, Enduring cause I love my leaders.

I was doing Ocean Paradise but it doesn't seem like its absolutely necessary. I love the idea of Under One Rule but it seems like a origin thats -very- weak because of the civil war?

I love prosperous UNification but its an origin that only has good early game and falls off entirely later on as an Origin. Sky dragon is fun.

Anyone else have some ideas for a Spirtitualist Aquatic empire? I do love my leaders.

The sky dragon could within theory could be fun if you take in the idea of it being Ryūjin, AKA the Japanese Sea God which is literally a massive good-guy ocean dragon god and its simple ritual pray is done for agricultural boons, rain and the success of fishermen; in a literal sense you could say the Sky Dragon is Ryujin
I do recommend Ocean Paradise. Make every planet Oceanic, and the bonuses are tremendous. I agree, leaders are awesome for strategy - I much prefer the 3.7 and previous versions for that reason alone.

Ocean Paradise AFAIKs effect is only one thr home planet. Not all colonized ocean worlds.

Sky dragon is alot of fun for roleplay purposes so there's alot to go with it.

Plus there's this...This is a song that plays upon finishing the Message in a Bottle as the Aquatic Species

Its a banger!

___
Come all you young spacefarers, listen to me
I'll sing you a song of our fish from the sea.
And it's windy weather, boys, stormy weather.
When the wind blows, then we're all together.
Boys blow ye winds fringeward, blow ye winds, blow.
Out to the galaxy, steady she goes.
Up comes the Great Dragon in search of our home
Through space to a place that's beneath waves and foam!
And it's windy weather, boys, stormy weather.
When the wind blows, then we're all together.
Boys blow ye winds fringeward, blow ye winds, blow.
Out to the galaxy, steady she goes.
Up come the solar winds, taking us far.
All through the space lanes and out to the stars.
And it's windy weather, boys, stormy weather.
When the wind blows, then we're all together.
Boys blow ye winds fringeward, blow ye winds, blow.
Out to the galaxy, steady she goes.

Does it really? I didn't know it does. I may have to test that.

They followed up later on, not with it in game, but with Bangin on a Trashcan for Toxicoids!

Why would you? Atlantis was a pre-FTL civilisation.
And they got nuked from orbit when the Sirians chose to get 90% progress on gamma lasers.
Why not try to incorporate them into your state and at least get both laborers and industries as well as the resources? The gains are immediate and last a lot longer.

Incorporate who into my state?

It does affect the home planet, with desirable bonuses. But there's a bit more: you get to find frozen worlds - like barren worlds, you can terraform them and inhabit them. You can also get the Hydrocentric perk... I'm not sure if you need "Ocean Paradise" or perhaps it's enough to simply chose the Aquatic trait to get access to it. Used properly it's a very powerful perk. Also, you can get mining stations on your starbases.

Im not sure if the Frozen worlds are Ocean Paradise specific and thats in your home system or not. Thats a good question.

Hydrocentric just needs aquatic which is super simple to grab.

More than likely, ill run either one rule or Ocean paradise.
did the same thing. ocean paradise, anglers, catalytic, agarian, with non adaptive since you will still have max habitability on ocean worlds and flooded habs, and it isnt worth living anywhere else. gets tedious managing ice to expand your planets, but was easily one of the strongest empires i ever played.

Good question: but the answer lies in the folks who're the aquatics, as per the usual locals: if at all possible: you get a quality workforce, and facilities perhaps, but also building space, and you annex a planet that's feasibly undamaged.
Well, I ended up going with Mechanist for this run and its going amazing. Economy is going strong and im about to improve the economy even more as I turn everyone into Aquatics and everything into Ocean. Just got Hydrocentric and Genetics. Soon will be the full transformation into thje world of NEPTUNE.

Are Ecunempolis required to use for the end game or can I avoid and just use all Oceans? Im being serious here.
