Resume as Formless - locked in

After winning the game I resumed as my former Formless vassal.
Apart from their size 40 gaia planet they turn out a stone age civ.

Most annoying this civ doesn't get the Rift technology, what means it's stuck at its side of the wormhole. You can't get out.
Their tech starts at square one, so instead of having matter disintegrators you're inventing coilguns again. "How long did time stop?" Worse, it rewound 150 years.
Last their star produces only 1 astral thread. It scales to 31 but without Rift tech it's useless.
