*Shrugs* Its admittedly a juggling act. Not sure how good it would do in a skilled min/maxers hands when compared to other playstyles, but it seems effective enough to me.
You can focus your planets on advanced resources (alloys, Unity, Research) while trying to get everything else from space. I recommend spamming space stations with the Astro-Mining Bay's (They give energy, not minerals) and the Astro-Mining Hub's (add another positive modifier to mining stations in the system). I also recommend to focusing on Unity first and Research second, since upgrading your arc forges costs unity.
It also seems to combo well with the nanotech ascension, since nanites can be mined from planetary bodies.
