Habitability as maschines
"I'm currently playing as a machine intelligence with the Ringworld Origin and as Driven Assimilators. My primary species has 50% habitability on other planets. Like intended. What surprises me is that this hasn't improved through research. (Social and engineering Tech)
It doesn't matter whether it's a Tomb World or others

Do i miss something

Fairly certain you can just modify your machines to another habitability preference.

The starting ringworld extra segments has blockers that reduce the maximum habitability by 50%, you sure this is the case on other worlds or just the segments?

Im not this far into the game. But this seems the only solution.

the blockers from the ringwolrdsegmets are cleared. I mean "normal" planets. My cyborks (kybernetik) get the boni from the reseach the maschines not. Seems weird

your real habitability is well under 50, so you don't see the effect of technologies because the new value is also below 50. Since you have ring world habitability your base habitability is 0 for all planets, if you gain 10 then you would be at 10. Since you have a minimum of 50, this is raised to 50 to meet the minimum.

but you can colonise the ring world segments immediately. no need to wait for the research to clear blockers.I went ring world - virtual and cosmogenesis, throwing all the meat sacks into the lathe . I am no min maxer so only 15k research.

ok makes sense.

I am having issues with tomb world habitability. I did the research to increase it by 20 and it still remains at 50 instead of 70. The research that increases habitability by 5 each time doesn't increase it either.

As rwood42 mentioned your actual habitability value may be lower then 50.

Machines has a lowest habitability threshold of 50, so even if the actual value is 0 it would still be 50.

But that also means you have to reach 50 before you start noticing any changes.

On the other hand, it could also just be a bug or a oversight.

Machines have minimum habitability. This means no matter what the actual habitability is, it can never go below that.

As a ringworld habitability, you have 0 habitability for everything. Under that minimum 50%, your pops have 0 habitability. All the habitability modifiers you get is just building on that 0%.
